I want to thank Dr. Lavinia Rusu. I have been to numerous doctors to address excess fluid and inflammation build up throughout my body without answers or diagnosis, it was very frustrating !!! After my first Lympatic Massage/treatment, I immediatley had results!!! Dr. Rusu is amazing and my Lympatic Massages transformed my personal health and quaility of life. Ultimately, my Lympatic Massages, not only help remove excess trapped fluid and toxins from my tissues it reduced swelling, inflammation, and my skin feels and looks healthier. I believe Lymatic Massages aided in releasing emotional toxins built up over months of stress and anxiety. I am greatful for Dr. Rusu's attention to detail, professional approach, and taking time to explain the importance of the Lympatic System. After seeing so many medical professioinals, I very much appreciate being treated as a person / patient not a number or file in the office. I can not say enough positive things about Ms Lavinia. My husband was suffering with terrible swelling and fluid retention in his legs after having his lymph nodes removed because of a prostate cancer diagnosis. She took him in immediately and worked at least an hour on him after a consultation. Not only did the fluid work itself up but it exited through the original incision in his belly completely resolving without having a drain inserted. She was such a blessing! We both highly recommend Healing Landmark!

This past Friday I started with a new therapeutic medical massage office down in Blairsville. I asked online about it, and this place got high reviews in the comments under my post. I was hoping for a difference in technique and skill and was blown away by the professionalism and care. Angie Benson, RN, LMT was who worked on me. She first asked if I minded if she prayed for me. I was immediately emotional, because she knows that all healing is up to God, working through her hands. She put both her hands on my back and prayed for us both. During the hour she worked on my trigger points, with each movement she talked about what she was doing, and I had to be a participant as she learned about my injury and the trigger points. If she hit a bad spot I had to inhale deeply then quickly breath out hard. Not only did this alert her to a pressure point, it also helps to release the intensity of the muscle pain so the muscles relax and the pain is less as she tries to go deeper into the muscle. Because it was the first session, Angie didn't go as deep as I needed, we have to work up to the deep muscle therapy. She warned me about bruising and pain the day after and counseled me on what to do for the pain, including to drink lots of water. She was correct, Saturday I was pretty sore, but Sunday it was much better. I did have less back pain, which was different from the muscle soreness, and I felt like I could stand up better, more straight. I had the 2nd appointment yesterday, Monday, and not only was she able to go deeper into the muscle and trigger points, she also used some new techniques from two 4 hr classes, one on Saturday and another Sunday. It was an interesting session and I'm not as sore today as I was after the first session. Again, she prayed over me and for me. There is a radical difference between this therapy and where I was going for the last 2 almost 3 months. Where I was before seemed like "spa fun", and at Healing Landmark I'm getting the real deal.
